St. Augustine, Florida Artist George Meyer is known for his detailed carving and print presentation. For over 30 years he has provided art patrons with unique and original "limited edition" pieces to decorate their homes and offices. He is a graduate of Layton School of Art and the University of Wisconsin. He has spent a lifetime perfecting his Old World Carving Techniques. George is also involved with Florida Wildlife preservation groups and donates his original pieces to be used as Fund Raisers for the various groups. He is a current member of the St. Augustine Art Guild and participates in many Fine Art Shows each year.

Block carving and printing is one of the oldest forms of Artistic Expression.  Each picture takes between 4-8 weeks to carve depending on details and subject matter. Once the picture is carved into the block, it is inked and pressed onto paper producing the carved image.  It is then named, numbered, and signed by the artist.
